4th of July Cruise to York River Yacht Haven

Once again the OPCYC will set sail for York River Yacht Haven for the annual 4th of July cruise. YRYH is one of the most popular cruising destinations on the Bay. Since the 4th is on a Wednesday this year, our basic plans will focus on the 3rd and the 4th, although some cruisers will certainly arrive early or stay late. The folks at YRYH know we are coming, but other clubs are cruising there as well. To be safe, please make your slip reservation with them soon (804-642-2156) and mention that you are a member of OCYC at the time.

Party Cruise to Downtown Hampton and Waterside

The Party Cruise and Yacht Club July Membership meeting will happen in three phases. Everyone should be able to be there for at least the Membership Meeting phase at the Conch and Bucket on Queen Street in downtown Hampton Saturday night July 14. There will be more about that later. Let’s talk about the party. Cruise to Waterside on Friday July 13 and to downtown Hampton on July 14.

The July Membership of The Old Point Comfort Yacht Club will be held on Saturday July 14, 2012. No this is not a misprint. Our July Membership meeting will not be held on the usual third Wednesday of the month so that it may be combined with a nearby weekend cruise. See Cruising Chronicles for details of the cruise portion.
