I welcome you, the visitor, to our website of the Cape Charles Yacht Club. While plundering and scuttling are long past memories here on the Eastern Shore, the wonderful backwaters, harbors and marinas that line the north and south of Cape Charles town proper still remain a prize for any modern day pirate to explore after a reach across the Bay.

The Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association (CBYRA) is an organization comprised of over 75 member clubs, more than 50 classes of racing sailboats, and over 1800 individual members from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and North Carolina. CBYRA represents these clubs, classes and individual members to US Sailing.

The Cruising Club of Virginia, Inc. (CCV) is a southern Chesapeake Bay yacht racing organization that offers a full season of sailboat racing program. Through the promotion and management of these spring through fall programs for the past years, the CCV has established itself as the major focal point for providing offshore handicap racing sailors a forum for organizing their respective fleet racing activities in the Chesapeake Bay. Through the past efforts of many dedicated yachtsmen, the CCV has published race management instructions for each sailing season

Fishing Bay Yacht Club is a private sailing club located in Deltaville, Virginia. For over 50 years we have been located at the base of Stove Point Neck. We have a beautiful view over Fishing Bay for watching our One Design racers, our Juniors in the Optis and famous sunsets. To the left is a picture of the view over Fishing Bay at the occasion of the visit of Schooner Virginia to FBYC in July 2005.

Fleet 15 is the home of J/105 One-Design Racing in the Southern Chesapeake Bay, covering the local territorial unit defined as Region IV of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association.

Langley Yacht Club is one of three military- associated yacht clubs in the Hampton Roads area. The Langley Yacht Club (LYC) was organized at Langley Air Force Base in 1937. The club and its members are active in Chesapeake Bay area yacht racing, power and sail cruising.

Membership is open to active duty and retired members of the armed services, NASA, government employees and contractors. Inquire about Associate Memberships for those that do not meet the above criteria.

The NNSA objectives are to:
1. Encourage recreational and competitive sailing.
2. Promote seamanship, piloting, navigation, and water safety
3. Arrange with local authorities to provide berthing, launching, storage, and repair facilities for member's yachts and other armed forces activities.
4. Organize opportunities for members to take part in all forms of yachting.
5. Sponsor group activities within the scope of the association
6. Encourage liaison between members and other military and civilian recreational organizations.

The US Naval Sailing Association is an independent non-profit organization comprised of active duty and retired military personnel, recognized in an advisory and assistance capacity by the Chief of Naval Personnel, and committed to providing active duty members an opportunity for sail training and recreation in sail craft. The association and its branches (the latter sponsored by local commands) support objectives of the Navy sail training program by providing volunteer instructors and by operating the qualification system.
